Gianmarco Cattari, BA MA Archaeologist, Graphic Illustrator and GIS specialist
I hold a master degree in Archaeology and GIS applications (University of Pisa, Italy 2007) after a 2 years thesis on GIS viewshed analyses of Bronze Age towers in Sardinia (Italy).
I've worked as an archaeologist and photographer on a wide range of archaeological sites and research projects in Italy, Corsica and Crete from 1992 to 2006, at which time I joined CRDS Ltd in Ireland to work as a site supervisor on the Edercloon excavation in advance of the N4 Dromod Roosky Bypass. On completion of this excavation, I worked on a number of other excavation and research projects and also developed new areas of expertise within the company in archaeological data modelling, graphic Illustrations and GIS (Geographical Information Systems).
Since April 2010 I have worked as a freelance GIS / archaeological data modelling consultant to CRDS, and worked as the senior tutor for the Irish Archaeological Field School from June to August 2010.
